Towards Becoming a MOOC Designer

After taking some decisions about your MOOC, you should realize those decisions. In other words, you should;

1. Produce learning resources you decided on
   
2. Create the online learning environment
   
3. Include all the instructions and learning resources into learning environment
   
4. Test the environment to identify if all the links and pages are working (technical quality check)
   

 In terms of learning resources we would recommend the followings:

• At least one short video for the course introduction
  
• At least one very short video for each week
  
• At least one video lecture for each lesson
  
• A text-based supplementary material
  
• A text (couple paragraphs) elaborating the topic of the lesson that should be embedded into LMS
  
• A short quiz for each week
  
• An online exam at the end of the MOOC  
  

These are recommendations! You may choose to have more and alternative resources, such as infographics, interactive learning materials, audio books, interactive video, audio, e-books, etc.

Please complete the following tasks:

1. Decide on the content and function of each learning resource
   
2. Develop scenarios 
   
3. Produce the resources
   
4. Create the course site in your institution's LMS
   
5. Embed all the learning resources and instructions into the course site
   
6. Conduct a technical quality check
   
7. Develop a guide about how to access and enroll your course (couple pages long presentation in Pdf format with appropriate links). 
   
8. Title of the guide should include the forenames of the team members (e.g.; Hakan_Olga_Sirje_Sasha_MOOC-Guide)
   
9. Post your guide in the Week 8-9 Discussion Forum as an attachment. Please type "MOOC Guide" in the topic field of your post.
   
10. Check the other teams' MOOCs and compare with yours.
