Welcome to the "Towards Becoming a MOOC Designer" training management site!
This site, created to facilitate the management of the training, contains no content but tools and instructions about the progress, interaction and evaluation.
The training entitled as "Towards Becoming a MOOC Designer" is designed in a way that promotes use of available open education resources (OERs). In other words, the training required you to take and complete all the activities in;
(1) a MOOC delivered via Iversity, and
(2) a module of another open online course on the current site.

Week 1: Orientation
This week mainly intended to introduce the course structure and content. During this week, you as participants are expected to complete two main activities: (1) Accessing the courses and (2) self-assessing your competencies regarding MOOC design.

Week 2: Foundation of Online Learning
Welcome to second week of our training "Towards Becoming a MOOC Designer". During this week we will study the first module (Foundation of Online Learning) of the "Introduction to MOOC Design and Delivery Course". This module focuses on student-centered learning, online learning, learner-engagement, collaboration, learner monitoring and assessment competencies.

Week 3: Technology Based vs Enhanced Learning and Assessment
Welcome to Technology Based and Enhanced Learning and Assessment module in the Online Proctoring Manager Course. Do not forget this module is not on Iversity. It is located here in this prowide.anadolu.edu.tr site.
The module intended to help you acquire skills on various concepts and implementations of online learning. For instance, you will be able to differentiate "hybrid learning" from "blended learning". The module also provides a knowledge base about what is technology based and enhanced learning as well as assessment strategies in these types of learning environments.

Week 4: Designing MOOCs
Welcome to Week 4 of our training. During this week we will be working on the second module (MOOC Course Design) of the "Introduction to MOOC Design and Delivery Course". This module covers 5 lessons and focuses on recognition of prior learning, interaction, self-regulated learning, building learning community, collaboration, accessibility and diversity, digital assessment, reflective assessment competencies. It is a very important module and competencies.

Week 5: Content Production for MOOCs
Welcome to Week 5 of our training. This week we will be working on the to third module (Content Production) of the "Introduction to MOOC Design and Delivery Course". This module covers 5 lessons and focuses on learning resources, and focuses on selection and production of Open Educational Resources (OERs) and especially instructional video production.

Week 6: MOOC Delivery
Welcome to Week 6 of our training. This week we will be focusing on the fourth module (MOOC Delivery) of the "Introduction to MOOC Design and Delivery Course" on Iversity. This module consists of 10 mini lessons about technological infrastructure you need for delivering a MOOC.

Week 7: MOOCs in Formal Learning
Welcome to Week 7 of our training, Towards Becoming a MOOC Designer. This week we will be focusing on the fifth module (MOOCs in Formal Learning) of the "Introduction to MOOC Design and Delivery Course" on Iversity. This module consists of 4 lessons about how to integrate MOOCs into formal courses and programs.

Week 8-9: Project
Welcome to the most attractive (😀) week of the training! Prior to this week, we have tried to help you acquire a knowledge and skill base for designing and developing MOOCs. Now, it is your turn to show us what you have learnt in previous weeks. You have two weeks to work in teams to design and develop a MOOC for your institution. Do not worry or panic! We will be helping you more during these two weeks. Anyway some of you will be in Turkiye to join the face-to-face sessions of the training, and so, we will have more chance to contribute your projects.

Week 10: Final Presentations and Training Wrap-Up
Yes you did it! This is the final week of the training. During this week there are two main activities, both of which are related to feedback.
